Profile

Ka Wai was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2013. Prior to co-founding the firm, Ka Wai was an associate in a firm recommended by The Legal 500, Asialaw Profiles and IFLR 1000.

Ka Wai’s area of practice focuses on real estate transactions and advising real properties tax related, including stamp duty and real property gains tax, in Malaysia.

Ka Wai’s practice also extends to commercial transactions such as corporate acquisitions, shareholders agreements, preference share agreements, foreign investment and reduction of share capital.

In addition, Ka Wai also advises clients on estate planning, including obtaining grants of probate and letters of administration, and land acquisitions matters.

• Assisted a corporate client with the acquisition of a luxurious condominium in the city centre of Kuala Lumpur.
